When I was a child, I had an imaginary playmate named Elizabeth. If the window or door slammed shut, I knew it was Elizabeth. To this day, when a sudden unexplainable noise occurs, I still say it is Elizabeth. Elizabeth and I created a place to play called Moon Mansion. We could fly to this magnificent place and escape earth. It was in a special unknown galaxy. the planet that held our lovely Moon Mansion had two moons, a blue one and a yellow one. The landscape was covered with crystal columns. The Moon Mansion was like a big library of delight, with large overstuffed wingback chairs, a table always set up with a backgammon game, shelves and shelves stocked with any book we should ever desire to open. The most wonderful thing about Moon mansion was that one whole wall was glass, and Elizabeth and I could sit and look out over our creation with awe and inspiration. My fascination with light arose from my many visits to Moon Mansion, the refraction and distortion of light, as it bounced off the crystal columns, was a constant source of amazement, thus when it came to create a real escape, for artists and fanciful thinkers, I named it Glassheart. The Glassheart Studios resides in my home and has traveled with me where ever I should roam. I have had the pleasure of many moonlit nights while waxing on with the many lovely people in my life. Glassheart is not meant to suggest a fragile heart, but rather a crystal heart with many facets that are always changing. I started collecting glasshearts over 20 years ago and have a beautiful collection with which to bide my time in this planet. I was born and raised in Texas, with a strong sense of wanderlust and a stop in Australia along the way. I have been described as having the mind of a mad scientist and the soul of a tormented artist, always trying to balance that empirical reasoning with hopes and dreams. I am a very spiritual person. The name of that spirituality still eludes me. I do believe in a higher power that rules the universe. I do not believe that power is a separate entity, but is a part of us and a part of all that is around us. Last year, I was inspired to compile a list of 50 things I wanted to do before I die. I am a compulsive list maker, as you will see when I continue to add to my web page. I encouraged several of my friends to make a list for themselves also. We shared our lists with each other and found small ways to help each other achieve our dreams. I decided to expand this idea to a bigger group of people. I have enclosed my list for anyone to read and I have made a form for you to make a list to submit with your email. Address. I hope that you will read the list of dreams and aspirations that others have submitted. If you see an item that in some small way, you could help someone achieve, please drop him or her an email, letting them know how you could help. I know some of the things may be silly and I do not want you to hold back. List things you have always wanted to do no matter how outrageous, after all they are dreams!
